Summer 2014 Video

I can't believe how fast time flies. I really wanted to put up pictures on the blog and update it on the summer before we came back to Hawaii and now it's almost November and I'm still not caught up! Life has been so busy, but so, so fun. I hate the thought of forgetting these memories, so I better record them, even if it is only for me.

I really wish I was tech savvy but I am so not. I cant quite figure out how to finish and post this video with sound. And I am so tired of trying to figure it out, I really just want to cross this off my to-do list. So, ill try to add music at some point. sorry I suck.

Anyways...I made a little video of our summer 2014 to condense some of our memories...it was a good summer.

Life in Hawaii

Besides a lot of fun trips, so many things have been going on in our lives. We are still loving our time here in Hawaii. Keith is in his senior year at BYUH. He is studying bio-chemistry and has a very full schedule of classes and 5 labs. He also has a job as the chemistry tutor, and often wakes up earrrly to catch some waves before class. I don't know how he does it all, he doesn't really sleep. On top of  all that he has been interviewing with dental schools for next year. While I was gone he interviewed at University of the Pacific in San francisco and the CU dental school in Denver, Colorado. He loved them both. It's exciting to think about what next year will bring.

Some other updates that I haven't blogged about include...
Clark came home from his LDS mission in Argentina! We absolutely LO0OOVE having him back!!!!!! Weve been able to see family in Utah and Colorado which is such a blessing. Our car clutch went out in the middle of the night at one of the worst spots possible. I'm SO grateful for good friends. That was horrible. Keith's friend came into town so it was fun to play tourist with him for a few days. Beach days, temple date nights, cards with our friends, babysitting, church activities, racquetball, the Nut Farm, hammock dates, Ko Ko Head, Hunauma Bay and regular ol' life errands have kept us busy. We'd say life's been pretty darn great.

Australia

We landed at midnight in Cairns, Australia. We stayed at an awesome Double Tree (dad always hooks us up with sweet hotels) and fell in love with the little city of Cairns (pronounced "cans") Since we had a rental car we were also able to see a lot of Australia including Palm beach, Aborigine tribes, Botanical Garden, the Outback, the Waterfall circuit and go to Church.

One of my favorite parts of Australia was when we drove clear out to see the crocodiles. It was so sad because we barely missed the boat tour but the guide talked to us a long while (in his awesome thick Australian accent) and told us crazy stories about the Crocodiles. He has lived in those small towns his entire life. Everyday when he and his friends would go to school, they would swim across the wide (75 meter-ish) crocodile invested river. On the way to school his dad would spot them with the gun incase of a crocodile attack, and same thing on the way home. CRAZY!

They drive backwards in Australia! We had many scary/funny moments, and I even got to do some driving! It definitely takes some getting use to.

Ashley and dad went to the Great Barrior Reef! They went scuba diving and snorkeling and had a blast. Mom and I had a great time in Cairns as well. We spent the day at the pool reading and talking, mostly talking, and went out for every meal (mom really enjoys good food, I really appreciate that about her) and bought ourselves an entire liter of Gelato! And ate it all. It was heaven.

Australia also has the best fish and chips, second only to Ireland.
It was neat to be able to go to church in Australian. We were actually in Kelseys Mission! I wish we would have been able to see her!
There are about 18 major waterfall in a giant loop, so we drove and hiked to several of them.

On our drive we went to a dairy farm and had the besttt yogurt on the face of the earth.

I loved the Australian people and culture and country! I hope I can go to the down under again someday.
