Paris / DC

I am so grateful that I got to see Paris. It is somewhere I have always wanted to go, and it was awesome. However :/ it is on the bottom of my list of places we've gone. I think the main reason was it was too dang expensive. Since we get to travel so much we really have to watch our costs, but, we couldn't seem to avoid it in Paris. For one, the metro was so pricey. And I was probably extra sensitive to it because I had lost my wallet at the airport (But we found it when we flew back to the US! phewf!) Anyways, money aside, we had a great time. We had a hotel right in the heart of Paris. With that great location and the easy Metro, we felt like we were able to see most of Paris' attractions in two days, so we cut our trip short. Not that we were able to see everything, but we saw most of what we wanted. And, not to brag, but we are extremely good at planning efficient trips. My favorite part of Paris was our picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower and Keiths was the huge water fountain in front of it that he cooled off in. For a few hours we laid on the grass and watched the sky get dark and the Eiffel Tower light up. It was so fun :)

We flew back to Washington DC and spent a few nights with Jessica, Bobby and Troy. Bobby was doing a Med School rotation there. They took us out to Dinner, we watched street musicans, explored DC and had a picnic in front of the capital. It was so fun and I love every second I get to spend with Troy.
